An extensive renovation of a 1959 summer home built on an incredible shoreline property on Mayne Island, BC on the historic Miner's Bay. The renovations were extensive as the cottage was transformed into a full-time home and designed to surpass building code standards for the utmost in comfort, energy efficiency, convenience and self-sufficiency. In-floor radiant heating, super-insulation, a back-up generator and water collection aided in those goals.
