- Adrian Shewchuk understands how important trust is in a client / contractor relationship. We felt this after talking to some of his former clients. We were looking forward to meeting him.
From the outset Adrian took ownership of our renovation plans. He offered suggestions when asked, and he put to rest any concerns we had. He was always forthright as to what the building codes allowed him to do, and what he could not do.
He went to work eagerly upon arrival. He is energetic, organized and methodical. He pays attention to detail, and finishes any drywall repairs in a professional manner, including the painting touch-ups. He was able to finish his work in a professional and timely manner each day, and cleaned up before leaving for the day.
We have received numerous compliments on the final result; the interior of our home now matches the ideas we had planned on. He shows a passion for doing a great job.
Adrian is courteous, respectful, patient, trustworthy and he listens.
Should we decide on more renovations to our home, we look forward to working with Adrian again. He is experienced and very knowledgeable.

We had planned a kitchen renovation for more than a year and had made several tentative decisions regarding appliances, flooring, new countertops and lighting fixtures. The flooring choice was proving problematical because of the added height and matching three different tiles for the countertops and back splash had led us to a dead end with no satisfactory solution apparent.
Adrian Shewchuk, Atelier Design+Build, was consulted to discuss the flooring but he had such innovative, practical suggestions that we had him plan and install all phases of the remodelling. The result was a unique, very functional kitchen that exceeded our original expectations at an affordable cost. We are very happy with the outcome, something that often does not happen with a renovation.

- In the fall of 2013, we moved into a 20 year old townhouse that was in great shape, but needed some updating in the kitchen. We were familiar with Adrian’s work as he had completed renovations to our previous townhouse prior to our purchasing it in 2006. His workmanship was impressive and when we were contemplating the kitchen renovation to our new home, Adrian came to mind. We contacted him and made arrangements for him to view our project and discuss what we were hoping to accomplish. We were both impressed with the manner in which Adrian presented ideas to enhance what we were hoping to accomplish. He left our meeting with a commitment to contact us by a certain date with cost estimates for each component of the project. He responded as promised, and with reasonable cost estimates. We felt that it was not necessary to seek other estimates as we were totally comfortable and confident that Adrian was the right person to complete our project.
He was methodical in his approach, and was flexible when the timetable for our countertop installation changed. The worksite was neat and tidy at the end of each day. The project was completed in a timely manner, and we are delighted with the end result.
Integrity, reliability, and trustworthiness are not often words used to describe a craftsman/contractor. I use them to describe Adrian without reservation.
Should we consider renovations in the future, Adrian will be our contractor of choice.
